英語教育講義⑪

There are three kinds of memory: sensory memory, short-term memory and long-term memory. The information through our body, eye or ear could be carried out in sensory memory. For example, when we listen to what others are saying, the sound information can be stored for approximately 2 seconds. It is often referred to as the "short-term memory." To keep it in our memory for longer we need to process it for meaning. While getting the information from others, we need to pay attention to the input that comes in. Learners should understand the contents fully so that they could practice them correctly. Then they need to do the repeated practice that has greatly impressed them.
